Butterfly Fun!

I finally worked on my lesson 2 of the class I am taking and finished the LO. I really love the main picture and think it looks great in this format.

Competitive? Who us? Nah...

Don't let that innocent look fool you!

I guess you could say we are a slightly competitive family. Pretty much anything can turn into a competition around here. Kylie is pretty darn good at Connect Four...don't understimate her or you will be going down! Just ask some of Josh's friends who have lost to her and not heard the end of it yet. It seems that if you beat her at her own game, you get a beat down of another kind...just ask Roger.

I made chocolate covered strawberries...MMM, MMM - Good!

The ice cameth!

And school is outeth! ;) Poor Kylie, she wants real snow soooo bad that she came into our room this morning at 8:30 all dressed warm looking for boots to wear. She was heading outside to try and make "ice angels"! I wish she could have at least one really fun snow day each winter here at home. I reminded her that we would be in Steamboat in a couple months and she would be able to make all the snow angels she wanted to then. She went outside and came back in tell me how she kept falling on her bootay. She is such a trooper...even with ice instead of snow she keeps her sweet happy spirit! My little Ice Angel...

The ice is here...

They have been saying all day that the ice was coming...it is here. I think the kids went to bed pretty sure they will not have school tomorrow. I guess we will see when the sun comes up. Sleep tight everyone!

Make room!

Well...I finally repurposed the wire shelves that hung on the back of the door for the VHS tapes. Since I have been painting the wood in the house, I didn't want the over the door things up anymore. I needed a new solution to storage space in the kitchen so, I checked my garage and figured it out. I used a couple of different fasteners and basically nailed it to the inside of my pantry door. It works great and was easy peasy to do! Well, off to watch the boys play ball. TTYL!

A little more sugar...

Well, I finished my page 2 of my Sweetness LO of Kylie baking cupcakes. I think I am really please with the end results. I am really enjoying this class..Jessica Sprauge really does a great job putting together her classes. They are very up to date with the new versions of software and I love the short cuts she teaches.

Am I a bad person?

I can't really say I don't care at ALL about politics. I usually have a pretty strong opinion (although not as strong as Josh's) of who I want for President. We will suffice it to say, my candidate did not win. And while I loosely pay attention to what is said by each in the "race", I rarely believe them. I think that most politicians say exactly what they think they need to say to be elected and then change their song once they are to do pretty much whatever they want. That being said, I rarely ever watch an inaguration. Does that make me a bad person or mean I don't care enough? Am I not patriotic enough? I don't think so...well at least I hope not!

I have started a new class for my digital scrapbooking at jessicasprague.com. Liz has already done this class so nothing I post will impress her, ;) but maybe some of you others will be a little impressed! Here is my first LO using some of the techniques in lesson one. I am always so impressed with her classes. She really does an awesome job! I will do a second page soon to go along with this one.
