Project 12

I have decided I am not going to set myself up for failure by saying I am doing Project 365 this year. I am giving myself some wiggle room...and ta da! I am doing Project 12! Basically, I am agreeing to take lots of pictures, but I am only committing to 1 - 2 page layout per month. That being said...I did finish one more layout from 2009. It is weeks 20 & 21. I have decided to continue using this layout and just change the papers and then move on! KISS - Keep It Simple Sucka! lol



I am going to try posting the one that was not saved for the web. The web version looks a bit blurry and I want to compare them.




I may stop posting the reduced size pic...we shall see.

Lazy days are over...

Well everyone as the title says....lazy days are over! It isn't like I haven't been doing anything. Just maybe not what I SHOULD have been doing. I decided I am not going to make any resolutions this year. But I am going to work on myself and my life in many areas. I have lots of things I need to do better. I am going to start working on making some fun new recipes with my new slow cooker and using the rotiserie cooker I have and haven't used much.

When I worked I was a very organized person in the office. Everything in its place and everything done and neatly stacked. Followed my to do list and completed everything in a timely manner. I need to work that system into my home life. Treating my life like a job is something I have long said I needed to do...but so far have not been able to. I go through spells. Times when I do great at something then other things start to slide. Then I pick up the slack in the sliding areas and different areas start the slide. It is like a seesaw. I guess I should be glad that everything doesn't slide at the same time! It seems almost like burn out in areas. And I really think part of it is the kids...they don't seem to ever appreciate the things I put effort into and eventually it seems like "Why bother?" If it is keeping the house spotless..then it ends up me being the b!&#* and riding them about keeping their rooms done or just generally not leaving their stuff around or dishes out. While Roger is way better than most husband about helping out...he doesn't help much this type stuff. He is a stewer, then exploder. So I try to manage that and keep it from getting there...which again makes me the b!&#*.

So the options to me are do it all myself and let the kids slide or ride them as usual and hope one day they will get over hating me. I guess we will see how long they hate me! HA!

Is it bad to use a pink snowflake paper? I mean I have never seen pink snow...have you?

Speaking of snow...

Kylie and her friend made a snowman last night. They really spent lots of time on this one as you can see the snow is a bit thin. I should have taken a picture of the trail that went all the way across our yard, across the neighbors yard and back just so they could get enough snow.

I didn't even know they were building it, she gathered all the supplies herself. She has quite the creative streak.

Brrrrr....it's white outside!

I guess today's snow made me think of snow, so I scrapped a page from our spring break trip. I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that it was the next event I had not scrapped yet! I actually found a page I had started (way back) when I went to save this one. But I liked this one better so I deleted the old one. lol

Every year one of our very first stops in town is to hit Pizza Hut as we roll in. The kids like to say it is tradition! I thought the picture of the line of red lights was really funny...I think we managed to hit it just right and make it through them all on green. This is one of many more pages from this trip to come..we had an awesome time and no one broke anything this year! Yay Tami!!!!

I am so blessed and thankful for my family, my husband, my kids, my life. Thank you Lord for all of them and thank You for the past, present and future care You take of us all...

Hello world...we are still here!

Now that Christmas is over I am going to try and get back to posting occassionally. I did another thing tonight that it seems like forever since I last did it...I actually scrapped a page! It is the next page in my Picture a Day/Project 352 - weekly pages. I was not nearly as good about this as my Lil Miss Perfect Sister-in-law...but we will see what I end up with at the end of the year and maybe my resolution for 2010 will be to do better next year! So here it is anyways! lol
