I finished lesson 2 in my photo editing class today. Lessons 1 and 2 basically teach you 2 different ways to accomplish the same thing. I have attached a cut sheet with the original photo, the edit from Method 1 and the edit from Method 2. Which one do you like best?

I think I like your RAW better but so far I have liked mine better with Lesson 1 - maybe its a Canon versus Nikon difference?
My hubby(who is a photographer/artist) and I like the method 1 best.

i like method 1- the catch light's in his eyes and his hands look better (of course that's just my opinion-but isn't that what you asked for?) what a cute subject you have to work with ;) great job-so happy for you that you are pursuing your photography passion
I like Method 1 the best and the way the warm tones show through. Great shot! I wish my son would pose for me.
